The Trust was set up in Oct 2023. Ownership of Spray was transferred to the Trust in March 2024 with the boat moved to Glasson from Liverpool. During the year we have the stripped work back to hull and started repainted her. Repairs have been carried out to the hull in the bow area with several planks replaced.
Before putting Spray back in the water, we need to replace her bowsprit, complete painting, service the engine and electrics and upgrade safety equipment. We plan keeping her at Morecambe during the summer.
Income was £14273 made up of £11529 donations, £2525 gift aid and £219 membership fees, We are grateful for everyone who has donated to the Trust over the year. Expenditure was £10461 with a further £2985 for bow planking repairs to come through. There are a further costs of around £13000 to come through before we put the boat back on the water.
